Biography

Verity Lim is an Information Security undergraduate at the National University of Singapore and former President of NUS Greyhats. She has been involved in cybersecurity and Capture-the-Flag (CTF) competitions since her polytechnic days, with technical interests spanning vulnerability research, reverse engineering, binary exploitation and mobile security.

Outside of her own technical work, Verity has spent much of her time contributing back to the cybersecurity community. She has organised CTFs and workshops, worked on initiatives introducing younger students to cybersecurity, and contributed technical challenges to community events. More recently, she represented ASEAN at the International Cybersecurity Challenge 2025 and authored challenges for HEX ADVENT 2025, a CTF designed for women in cybersecurity.

Having entered the field through CTFs and student communities herself, Verity is passionate about making cybersecurity approachable to newcomers and creating opportunities for the next generation to explore the field.
