Biography
Mai Kraft is an experienced cybersecurity leader with a strong background in technology and information security. She holds a Master’s degree in Cyber Security from Tallinn University of Technology.
Since August 2026, she is leading the National Cyber Security Centre of Estonia (NCSC-EE) at the Estonian Information System Authority (RIA) and serves as RIA’s Deputy Director General for Cyber Security.
In this role, Ms Kraft strengthens the cyber resilience of the state and critical infrastructure, raises awareness of cyber threats across society, and oversees the development of the Estonian Information Security Standard. As Director of NCSC-EE, she is also responsible for the national CERT and for cybersecurity supervision, ensuring that relevant entities comply with the measures set out in the Cybersecurity Act.
Before joining RIA, Ms Kraft worked for eight years as Head of Information Security at Elisa Estonia, one of Estonia’s leading telecommunications companies, where she was responsible for the overall management of the company’s cybersecurity function. Her responsibilities included cybersecurity strategy, risk management, compliance, incident management, and the operation of the organisation’s information security management system.
