Biography

Mr John Buselli is Global Offering Manager for IBM Quantum Safe at IBM Research, where he leads product strategy, regulatory guidance, and market development for IBM's post-quantum cryptography portfolio. He works with industry and regulators worldwide on quantum-risk readiness, helping security and risk leaders translate the quantum threat to encryption into practical migration roadmaps aligned with operational resilience requirements.

Since joining IBM Research in 2014, John has worked at the intersection of Quantum-Safe cryptography, privacy-enhancing technologies, and AI security. He is active in global consortia and standards bodies advancing Quantum-Safe adoption, including serving as chair of the Commercialization & Use Cases Technical Advisory Committee at the Quantum Economic Development Consortium (QED-C). He speaks frequently on cyber risk and cryptographic resilience. Earlier in his career, he built and scaled initial markets for early-stage software companies, including Verity (acquired by HP), KVS (acquired by Symantec), and Princeton Softech (acquired by IBM).
