Biography

Mr. Ashok Kumar Mirpuri joined Temasek in September 2023 as Head, International Policy & Governance. He has over four decades of experience spanning diplomacy, geopolitics, strategic affairs, business, and economics.

Prior to joining Temasek, Mr. Mirpuri served as Singapore’s Ambassador to the United States from July 2012 to June 2023, representing Singapore’s interests across three U.S. Administrations. He previously served as Singapore’s Ambassador to Indonesia, High Commissioner to Malaysia, and High Commissioner to Australia. These appointments provided him with deep regional insight and a strong appreciation of how Singapore’s relationships with its neighbours are developed and maintained.

Mr. Mirpuri holds a Master of Arts from the University of London’s School of Oriental and African Studies and a Bachelor of Social Science (Honours) in Political Science from the National University of Singapore.
