Biography

Director-General Alessandro De Pedys is a career diplomat who joined the Italian Foreign Service in 1989. He was posted to Seoul, London and Hong Kong, and then served as Ambassador of Italy to Poland from 2014 to 2018. In Rome he has been Diplomatic Advisor to the Minister of Economy and Finance, Head of International Relations at Leonardo S.p.A., and Director General for Public and Cultural Diplomacy; since January 2026 he is Director General for Cyber Issues, Information Technology and Technology Innovation. He holds a degree in economics from the University of Rome.
