Supercharging the Cyber Workforce: AI, Skills, and Accreditation
Discussion on how AI, professional standards and accreditation are shaping the future cybersecurity workforce.
13 October 2026 (Tuesday)
Time: 3.00pm to 5.00pm (GMT +8)
Venue: SICW H (Level 3, Cassia 3211 - 3312)
Building on the inaugural SICW 2025 Workforce Development Panel, “Supercharging the Cyber Workforce: AI, Skills, and Accreditation” will spotlight two important but distinct conversations: the impact of AI on cybersecurity work, and the broader professionalisation of the cyber workforce.
The session will begin with lightning talks on how AI is reshaping cybersecurity roles and workforce needs. This will be followed by a moderated panel featuring UK stakeholders, who will share lessons from the UK’s professionalisation journey. The panel will focus on how professional standards, accreditation pathways, and frameworks can strengthen workforce quality, employer confidence, and career progression.
Together, the two segments will provide attendees with practical insights into both the emerging capabilities required of future cybersecurity professionals, and the broader systems needed to validate and recognise those capabilities through a trusted professional accreditation framework.
