Biography

Dr. Soumik Mondal is a Principal Scientist in the Cybersecurity department of I2R. With OTS Programme, he is Work Package Lead driving the development and translation of Audio-Visual Deepfake Detector and Automatic Fact Checker solutions for tackling deceptive synthetic media and non-factual claims.

Soumik earned his Ph.D. in Computer Science with a concentration in Information Security from the Norwegian University of Science and Technology (NTNU, Norway). He has published many research papers in the areas of biometrics and forensics.
